I Love Summers in NY - Juan Diaz
Creature’s Rooftop // 518 W 27th St, Manhattan // Sun 7.27

📸 @burntorangehoney

Former head chef of Her Name was Carmen, Juan Diaz, is bringing the band back together; reuniting with his old team and hosting his very own pop-up for the first time this Sunday. The menu will highlight Diaz’s penchant for Latin fine dining and fresh seafood. One of the dishes that will be featured is a lemon-zested tuna carpaccio lacquered with soy and mirin served over potato chips, arugula and aioli. Sometimes the most delicious dishes require a lot of attention to detail but only a few ingredients.

Chef Nikko x Chef Kiko
87 Ludlow // 87 Ludlow St, Manhattan // Sun 7.27

📸 @nikkoninikko

Chefs Briellnikko Macasero and Francis Balbarin are teaming up for an evening of Spanish and Filipino tapas. Bold flavors, tradition, nostalgia and flair are set to collide, resulting in a tango between two cultures. Shared cultures, shared plates and a vibrant evening on the 87 Ludlow patio will be the perfect way to round out the weekend.

Toad × Radio
Radio Bakery // 135 India St // Thu 7.24-Sun 7.27

📸 @radiobakerynyc

Two of the best bakeries on opposite sides of the Atlantic are linking up for a one-weekend-only pastry drop. London’s cult-favorite Toad Bakery is popping up at Radio Bakery (Greenpoint) with two absolute bangers: a corn croissant stuffed with polenta, jalapeño, herbs and Clothbound cheddar, and a Japanese-style milk bun filled with TCHO chocolate custard, dipped in ganache, and dusted with matcha sugar. Get there early to get your mouth around these or miss out like you did with the Tyler tix.

Be Bep
Riis Beach Promenade // 167-02 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Rockaway // Fri 7.25

📸 @bebep.babykitchen

Looking for a reason to GTFO the city? Be Bep is popping up at Spectro on Riis beach in the Rockaways this Friday, serving up their favorite things to eat by the water. Oysters with passion fruit nuoc mam, shrimp and fluke ceviche, creamy crab dip, a tumeric-fried catfish sandwich with viet tartar sauce, a betel leaf smash burger, and a stone fruit dessert with tamarind chili are all on deck. Sounds by Honey Bun will give you a reason to stay & dance. Sounds like the perfect lil getaway to us…

Stones
Honey’s // 93 Scott Ave, Brooklyn // Fri 7.25 & Sat 7.26

📸 @stones_nyc

Chef Edmond Hong—the L.A.‑born, Atlanta‑raised chef behind High‑energy Asian‑American pop‑up Güd Güds is reintroducing his brand as Stones, an outdoor cookout taking over Honey’s this Friday and Saturday. He’ll be grilling outside with a fun party vibe going on upstairs. Hong is the kind of culinary cultural cartographer who builds dishes out of nostalgia, thoughtful seasonal ingredients, and Southeast Asian influence that never feels stuck in the past. This is the start of something new with Chef Hong and you’re gonna wanna say you 8it first.
