Taxes are due Wednesday, which means New York is split into two camps: the smug and the scrambling. If you already filed, here are five ways to celebrate. If you didn’t, you’re already in so deep, so you might as well ride it out until Monday with a proper meal(s).
CMarty’s Jerk
📍King Tai
🏠 1095 Bergen St, BK
🗓️ Thru Fri 4.10 • 5-10pm

: instagram @cmartysjerk
CMarty’s Jerk has held down the King Tai kitchen since day one – and today is the end of that era. What started with Chef Christopher Martin putting a Jamaican twist on the bánh mi has evolved into a full jerk menu, including jerk chopped cheese fries, jerk smash burger and more. This menu will be available for the last time at King Tai tonight before popping up in other locations around the city. Meet us there and help us send CMarty off in style!
Gaby’s Cake Night

🗓️ Sat 4.11 • 10pm-midnight

Superiority Burger might be a vegan’s heaven, but they’ll have to sit this one out. An old friend of SB’s, Gabrielle Scelzo is bringing her baked, very un-vegan, cakes to the table. Chocolate banana swiss roll, sm’mores layer cake, and strawberry yellow cake ice cream sundae is available late night. Plus Macadamia Mai Tais are being served up at the bar along with the joint’s standard menu available for more non-dessert dishes.
Hera
📍Sauced
🏠 47 2nd Ave, NYC
🗓️ Sun 4.12 3pm till sell out
: instagram @ty_rothbauer
I don’t think I’m going out on a limb when I say Chef Jay Rodriguez’s favorite season is upon us. He just oozes Spring, dontcha think? His menu being served up at Sauced on Sunday does too. Per usual, Hera’s bringing dishes straight from the farmers market, like ramp grilled cheese, asparagus tempura, and rigatoni with green bolognese.
Bangkok Supper Club’s Thai New Year Lunch
📍Bangkok Supper Club
🏠 641 Hudson St, NYC
🗓️ Sun 4.12 • 12-4:15pm
: instagram @bangkoksupperclub
Bangkok Supper Club is hosting a family-style afternoon feast for the new year with a traditional and refreshing dish at its core. Khao Chae is essentially jasmine rice soaked in iced water, and it’s served with a bunch of beautiful side dishes. Fried pork jowl, stuffed green peppers, fish and shrimp paste balls, and fried salted egg yolk are balanced by beautifully carved veggies and the icy rice.
Michela Laccabeu
📍With Others
🏠 340 Bedford Ave, BK
🗓️ Thru Sun 4.12 • 5-11:30pm
: instagram @miclacc
Brooklyn-based chef with Northern California roots is set up shop at With Others at the beginning of the month and this weekend is your last chance to get the goods. The menu ranges from shareable snacks like crispy stuffed olives and fritto misto to spring veg like dandelion greens and braised leeks, to heftier plates like taleggio cappelletti and grilled pork. Don’t miss the chocolate mousse with cardamom whipped cream or ricotta cheesecake to wrap things up.
