Chaat Dog
Rockaway Brewing Co. // 46-01 5th St, Queens
Saturday 1.3

: instagram @chaatdog
Chaat Dog is Pervaiz Shallwani’s Desi-American street food pop-up; featuring most notably Chicago style hot dogs loaded with the tangy, spicy, crunchy Indian chaat. This Saturday they’re popping up as part of Super Chori’s curated series, one pop-up using its platform to give others a stage. But if you miss it, don’t stress: Chaat Dog is famously everywhere, at a few different locations around the city throughout the week – all of which you can find in 8it, of course.
CMarty’s Jerk
King Tai // 1095 Bergen St, BK
Every Monday-Friday

: instagram @cmartysjerk
CMarty’s Jerk is Chef Christopher Martin’s Caribbean-leaning pop-up turned weekday institution, serving a rotating lineup of jerk-heavy specials. He took home Hustler of the Year at the 2023 8it Awards, and this season he’s back in the mix across multiple categories… because the output never slows down. Catch him every weekday at King Tai in Crown Heights; the kind of schedule that turns a pop-up into a habit.
Gringas de Pastor
Taqueria Ramirez // 94 Franklin St, BK
Every Tuesday
: instagram @mikejchau
Gringas de Pastor are Taqueria Ramirez’s weekly drop, only available on Tuesdays, built around their cult-favorite al pastor with melted cheese tucked into flour tortillas. They’re already one of the city’s most dialed-in CDMX-style taquerias, but this special turns a regular visit into a ritual: same address, same day, same obsession. We’ve never been more excited for Monday, so we can get to Tuesday sooner.
The Torta Pounder
Hen House NYC // 120 1st Ave, NYC
Every Friday-Sunday
: instagram @henhousenyc
Hen House is in its own lane: Lebanese roots, maximalist NYC energy, treating drops like a dare. This weekend’s drop, The Torta Pounder, is exactly that: soujouk chopped-cheese meets chile relleno torta (plus foul, salsa roja, and “lots of other stuff”). And if you need proof their chaos has staying power: their Knafeh Pancake hit so hard it’s now a real menu staple.
Brooklyn Curry Project
Nimbus Kitchen Downtown Brooklyn // 383 Bridge St, BK
Every Saturday

: instagram @un_forchettable
Brooklyn Curry Project is the Saturday-morning ritual in Downtown Brooklyn: South Indian comfort done with obsession-level consistency, anchored by their iconic masala dosa – crispy, ghee-glossed, and worth building your weekend around. You can catch them every Saturday at Nimbus Kitchen from the morning into early afternoon. And while they fed the room at last year’s 8it Awards, this year they’re looking to take the stage in another way; so consider your Saturday dosa run a little insider preview.
This is just a taste of what’s poppin’ in the 8it app. If you have any suggestions to make the 8it app experience even better than it already is, don’t hesitate to shoot us a DM.
