This Monday night, we’re teaming up with the Los Angeles culinary MC, Chef Eric Greenspan, and NYC pop-up sensation, Chef Raph, for a pop-up experience; remixing old school dishes with New School American Cheese. Raph will be dropping remixed dishes left and right like a culinary RZA. Baconeggncheese pierogis, Jamaican beef patty chopped cheese, New school fried bologna sandos, and slices of American cheesecake just to name a few. But first, a surprise bite you won’t want to miss will be dished out to get you going. That Girl Né will deliver a vibe to match the food, spinning old school and new school hip hop tracks all night. Best Damn Cookies is going out with a bang this Sunday with their last pop-up set to take place at Nimbus in Downtown Brooklyn. Since 2020, this pandemic-born business led by Mohit Sadoo and Chef Dave Dreifus has been engineering, baking, and delivering truly some of the best cookies known to man. In collaboration with The Infatuation’s Pride Bake Sale, they will be slinging a collab cookie sandwich called The Stonewall Sando, made with Brooklyn Brewery’s Stonewall Inn IPA. According to an IG post from earlier this month, BDC will take a break from July 1 to October 1, and hope to continue their business with pop-ups and nationwide shipping via Goldbelly thereafter. Head to the 💥 Pop-ups category in the 8it app to tap in to your last chance to secure cookie perfection until at least the Fall.

Malli
Brooklyn // 6.26, 6.27 & 6.28

One of LA’s hottest pop-ups, Malli, by chefs Elizabeth Heitner and Nestor Silva, is taking over the kitchens at Winona’s and Rhodora Wine Bar next week with a full a la carte menu of Jewish and Mexican-inspired food that they’ve brought to the spotlight. Take their pastrami taco for example, which sparked such a revelation that an entire article was written about it in the LA Times in 2021. In their most recent pop-up series, they deconstructed a BLT, subbed out the bacon for prawns, the lettuce for lardo, and kept the tomato, thus spawning the PLT, while maintaining the flavors of the classic sandwich. Find all the info on the last three nights of their NYC pop-up series in the 💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app.

Everything Oxtail
Smorgasburg // Saturdays & Sundays

📸: @everythingoxtailnyc

There’s that old saying that “everything is better with bacon,” but modern NYC tastemakers know that really, everything is better with oxtail. Osei Blackett, better known as Chef Picky- the owner of Trinidadian spot Ariapita in Flatbush, has brought his latest concept, Everything Oxtail, to Smorgasburg Williamsburg on Saturdays and Smorgasburg Prospect Park on Sundays. Their nachos, empanadas, noodles, and Trinidadian pholorie all laced with oxtail are breaking the internet, and we can’t help but feel that it’s an early candidate to be the breakout pop-up of the summer. Find all the info in the 💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app to beat the hype train to glorious West Indian-inspired meat sweats.
