Chef Luis is cooking a Mexican–Lebanese menu at Che built around natural cultural crossovers. The Hamachi Al Pastor pairs adobo-marinated hamachi with roasted pineapple on heirloom corn tortillas. The Samke Hara ceviche tostada layers sea bass and octopus with harra, avocado, and pine nuts. Start with esquites finished with guajillo toum and feta, then end with flan with rose water and crispy kataifi. Just to name a few… Oh and, specialty cocktails run alongside the menu, including mezcal with guajillo and grapefruit and a vodka pistachio-rose drink.

Shifka’s pita collab series rolls on this weekend with the legendary Katz’s Deli. A pastrami wrapped in grilled laffa is stacked with thick-cut pastrami with amba mustard, fermented cabbage, and tahini. Up next in the series? Barney Greengrass, Peter Luger, and Greenpoint Fish.

Studio Bumi is bringing together friends Jade Zhu, Niko Bronto, Katie Oliveria, and Jasmine Xu for a collaborative menu. Key dishes include pomelo crudo with miso-lime vinaigrette and chili, lemongrass popcorn chicken wrapped in betel leaf with sambal aioli, and kare-kare-ko, a coconut milk and sunflower butter braised beef with sticky rice. The Bumi cavatelli lands with kaffir lime French onion sauce, oyster mushrooms, ricotta, and fried curry leaf. Dessert closes with tangyuan bibingka à la mode.

Betty Jo’s teamed up with Kaitlyn Lavery for a pint built around the classic fluffernutter. The After School Special starts with vanilla ice cream swirled with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff.
