Community Kitchen is the best of all worlds: an incredibly talented James Beard Award Winning Chef Mavis-Jay Sanders, a rotating tasting menu straight from the farmers market, accessible to all. Shtick celebrates traditions of Jewish culture through immersive dinner experiences that are open to any and all. Tonight (and most Fridays), they’re celebrating Shabbat in collaboration with New York Times bestselling author, Joke Cohen, and Tokin’ Jew, with a special menu by Chi Chi Eats. Although the menu is a surprise, I can tell you that their dinners are always a delicious family style spread with flavors and ambiance that will warm your soul.

Panzón is throwing a breakfast burrito party… and what’s better than a breakfast burrito party? Swing by Saturday anytime from 10am till 2pm and get yourself a burrito filled with soft scrambled eggs, Oaxaca cheese, fried onions, salsa macha or green salsa, plus optional bacon or chorizo. There will be seasonal beverages including Mexican Ponche & Hot Chocolate and DJs on the decks.

San Diego’s first-ever James Beard Award finalist, Chef Tara Monsod, is taking over the kitchen at Naks this Sunday and Monday. She’s using her Filipino heritage, modern technique, and Southern California spin to craft a six course pre-fixe dinner at $135 a seat, with an optional wine pairing at $65 per person.
